Position: Senior Accountant
Position Overview
Millennium Research Group (MRG), a Decision Resources Inc. company, is a leading market research firm focused on the medical device and biotechnology sectors. MRG provides its clients with actionable information through published reports and customized consulting services.
MRG is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.
Primary Responsibilities
Monthly
Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations and adjusting entries
Report on sales and revenue by project and client
Prepare project level P&L analyses when required
Manage capital asset reporting
Review sales commission logs and reconcile to sales register
Yearly / Special Project
Assist in external year-end audit and budgeting process
Prepare working papers for yearly income tax filings
Assist in conversion of accounting software
Ongoing
Process banking & payment transactions
Improve efficiencies with financial processes by utilizing software functionality and process redesign
Enforce financial controls and recommend improvements for better security and reporting
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Completion or Advanced Level in a Canadian Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
University Business Degree
Market Research, Professional Services or Publishing experience preferred
Advanced level in Excel and proficiency in other MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint)
Able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Working knowledge of Lawson software an asset
Some overtime required
